  • 4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces, divided

  • 1/2 cup dry white wine

  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (plus more for garnish)

  • Crispy shallots, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente (about 10 minutes). Reserve 3/4 cup pasta water, then drain.

  2. Mince 4 garlic cloves. In a large bowl, combine minced garlic, shrimp, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon chili crisp, and 1 teaspoon salt. Toss well and let marinate for 15 minutes.

  3. Thinly slice the remaining 4 garlic cloves and set aside.
