Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating Tara’s birthday at Mitchell’s Ocean Club, and the evening could not have been more perfect. From the elegant atmosphere and polished service to the world-class food, every detail came together to create a truly unforgettable experience.

Dining Like Royalty

Our server, Tryan, deserves special mention. From the moment we were seated, he treated us like royalty. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering detailed descriptions of each dish and suggesting pairings that perfectly complemented our selections. His professionalism and attentiveness elevated our evening and ensured every course felt like a celebration in itself.

Prime Steak Tartare

We began our culinary journey with the Prime Steak Tartare, a dish that highlights the art of simplicity and freshness. The hand-cut prime beef was tender and flavorful, enhanced by the briny bite of capers and the subtle sweetness of finely diced shallots. Paired with crisp, golden crostini, each bite was a delightful balance of texture and taste—elegant yet approachable, and the perfect way to start our meal.


What makes this tartare so memorable is the balance between refinement and boldness. The prime beef was exceptionally tender, almost buttery in texture, and its natural flavor was allowed to shine without being overshadowed by heavy seasoning. The addition of capers introduced a briny pop that cut through the richness, while the shallots gave just the right amount of sharpness for contrast. Layering it on the crisp crostini not only provided crunch but also turned each bite into a perfect harmony of textures. It was the kind of dish that reminds you why tartare has been a fine-dining classic for decades.
